Duta Training (26/08) – PT Duta Mandiri Nusa atau Duta Training menggelar training berjudul Cooling Tower System pada tanggal 15 dan 16 Agustus 2023. Training yang berlangsung di Yogyakarta ini merupakan batch kedua, setelah batch pertama berlangsung pada Juli 2023.
Diikuti peserta yang berasal dari PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk atau biasa disingkat menjadi PGE, adalah anak usaha Pertamina Power Indonesia yang bergerak di bidang eksplorasi, eksploitasi, dan produksi panas bumi. Hingga akhir tahun 2020, perusahaan ini mengelola 15 wilayah kerja yang tersebar di seantero Indonesia.

Deskripsi
This training is designed to equip participants with in-depth knowledge and practical understanding of Cooling Tower Systems, focusing specifically on their operation within geothermal power plants. Cooling towers play a vital role in maintaining the thermal balance of power generation systems by efficiently dissipating heat. Therefore, understanding their performance, efficiency metrics, and common operational challenges is critical for ensuring the reliability and sustainability of the plant.
Throughout this course, participants will explore the key technical components of Cooling Tower Systems, including the relationship between heat exchange efficiency, turbine performance, condenser effectiveness, and feedwater system optimization. In addition to mechanical and thermal elements, the training will also cover essential electrical systems such as synchronous generators, switchgear, oil power transformers, distribution conductors, electric motors, and protective relays. These components are crucial in maintaining system stability and safety during continuous operation.
The course also places a strong emphasis on inspection techniques, testing procedures, and real-world application of performance calculations using industry standards such as those from ASME and HEI. Participants will engage with case studies and hands-on discussions to deepen their understanding of troubleshooting methods, identify areas for efficiency improvement, and implement safe operational practices.
